Situated on the Private Tolo wilderness reserve, high up in the Soutpansberg Mountain Range in Northern Limpopo, is the newly established Under The Waterberries campsite. As the name suggests, this campsite is shaded and surrounded by large Waterberry Trees and promises an unforgettable camping and game viewing experience.
Our aim was to create a camping experience completely different from the many other campsites available in South Africa. Not an easy task by any stretch of the imagination, but we are very proud to say that we believe that we have achieved this.
So what makes your camping experience at Under the Waterberries so unique?
Our first goal was to find the perfect location. We had already identified the Tolo Private Wilderness Reserve as the perfect spot. Situated high up in the Soutpansberg Mountain Range this Private Reserve borders two very well known game farms in the area, namely H12 Leshiba nature reserve and the exquisite Sigurwana Nature Reserve and Guest Lodge.
After careful consideration we settled on a very quiet spot next to a natural mountain spring which flows most of the year. The crystal clear water flowing here can be drunk directly from the spring and the gentle sound of the water as it trickles by might lead to the best nights sleep you have ever had in your life.
One of the best features of the campsite is that when you book your stay you get exclusive use of the entire campsite.
And as that were not enough you have access to the entire Tolo Wilderness Reserve. You are free to take a drive or enjoy a walk around the reserve and besides the reserve staff it is quite unlikely that you will see another car.
The Tolo Private Nature Reserve is not accessible by small cars. A 4x4 is recommended, however a vehicle with decent clearance is required. If you are unsure if you vehicle is suitable please feel free to contact us and we will gladly advise you accordingly
